My ongoing ambition is to provide women and children in our region with personalised healthcare, with a strong focus on listening, continuity, and individualised care. I practice across perimenopausal and menopausal medicine, menstrual issues, weight management, long-acting reversible contraception (including IUD insertion, replacement, and removal), obstetrics, and general paediatrics.
-
Since settling in this beautiful region, I’ve met my wonderful husband, and together we’ve welcomed two beautiful children. We enjoy going on family adventures, camping and building caves! If I’m not running the streets and beaches of Sawtell, you’ll find me having a dance party with the kids in the garden!
Sawtell has truly become home, and I’m privileged to support the health and well-being of our growing female and paediatric community.
Katrina ‘Kat’ Vagg
Clinic Manager
“Hi, I'm Kat! If you've called or walked through our door at Elara, chances are we've already met. It's my absolute privilege to be part of this wonderful clinic and to make sure every patient feels right at home.”
-
I bring over two decades of experience in medical administration and management to Elara. My career in healthcare began as a medical receptionist, and over the years I developed deep expertise in practice operations, billing, payroll, and compliance. Before joining Elara, I served as Office Manager at a busy local medical centre, where I oversaw everything from staff training and financial operations to compliance and patient service standards.
Joining Elara as Clinic Manager felt like a natural fit. The clinic’s vision for women's and children's health of deeply personalised, continuity-driven, and community-centred care, mirrors everything I believe healthcare should be.
-
As Clinic Manager, I oversee the day-to-day running of the practice, from appointments and patient experience to billing, payroll, and everything in between. My priority is always that patients feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. No question is too small, and no concern is ever brushed aside.

I am a mum of three. My older two have grown into wonderful adults, and my youngest, who is seven, keeps life beautifully busy! I am also a very proud Mini to two gorgeous grandchildren. Outside the clinic I enjoy, spending time with my family and bushwalking and swimming .
Registered Nurse Leanne Stuart
Practice Nurse
"Hello! I'm Leanne, Elara's practice nurse and child and family health nurse. Whether you're bringing in a little one for their immunisations, a well-child check, or just need a friendly face, I'm here for you."
-
My path to nursing is one I am deeply proud of. After a long and fulfilling career in financial services, I followed a calling that had always been close to my heart: caring for people. I completed my Diploma of Nursing in 2019 and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Nursing from Southern Cross University in 2024, receiving the New Graduate of the Year award from NSW Health. In 2025, I completed a Graduate Certificate in Child and Family Health at Western Sydney University, bringing together my passion for paediatric and family care.
I work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Coffs Harbour Health Campus, where I care for patients across all levels of acuity. My role at Elara as Child and Family Health Nurse allows me to do what I love most: supporting families from the very beginning, with well-child checks, immunisations, and health surveillance for infants and their families.

I am a mother and grandmother, and those roles have shaped not only who I am but how I care for the families who walk through Elara's doors. I understand firsthand the joys and the worries that come with raising little ones, and I bring that empathy into every interaction.
I have been a volunteer Surf Lifesaver for over 19 years, serving as patrol member, patrol captain, competitor, trainer, president and committee member, and was recently honoured with a 15-Year National Patrol Service Award. Community is at the core of everything I do, and I could not be more proud to serve our Sawtell community through Elara.
