Test Results
When tests are ordered, the results are reviewed as soon as they are received and triaged by clinical priority. We will always contact you about results that require action.
Urgent or abnormal results are acted on immediately, and you will be contacted as soon as possible. For results requiring follow-up, Dr Beck will call you directly or ask reception to book a phone or face-to-face appointment. Routine results may take up to five to seven business days to be communicated, as clinically urgent matters are always prioritised first.
Results calls from Dr Beck are made in the windows before and after clinic hours: between 8:00am and 8:45am, or after 3:00pm. These calls are bulk-billed and are not pre-scheduled. Dr Beck will phone you directly within those windows. If we are unable to reach you, we will try again, and may ask you to contact reception to arrange an appointment.
Where you have consented to electronic communication, we may notify you via SMS through HotDoc. No clinical details are included in SMS messages. You will be asked to call or book an appointment for further information.
Specialist and imaging results may take longer to reach us. If you are concerned about a result you are waiting for, please call reception.
Keeping your contact details up to date ensures we can always reach you when it matters.
Recalls and Health Reminders
We use a structured recall and reminder system to support your ongoing health. You may hear from us when a follow-up appointment is clinically recommended, or when you are due for preventive care such as cervical screening, immunisations or other health checks.
Where you have consented, reminders may be sent via SMS through HotDoc. No sensitive clinical information is included in these messages. If you would prefer not to receive reminders, please let reception know.
National Health Registers
As part of providing care, certain information may be forwarded to national health registers, including the National Cervical Screening Register and the Australian Immunisation Register. These registers support appropriate follow-up care and health monitoring. Please speak to Dr Beck if you have any questions.
